Crowthorne Group Ltd is the holding company formed to effect the management buy-out of Crowthorne Hi-Tec Services and its subsidiary companies from its retiring owners.
Crowthorne is the leading independent UK clean-room validation services business. Established in 1986, it works with major blue-chip clients in the pharmaceutical, medical and microelectronics industries, as well as Government departments and leading academic establishments. It has a subsidiary in Ireland and undertakes significant international consultancy work on behalf of its clients.
When offered the opportunity to acquire the business, incumbent directors Steve Robertson and Kevin Beauchamp, turned to Samuels Corporate's Andy Coghlan for guidance. Andy immediately identified the need for equity in the funding package and introduced SEGF. SEGF provided £250,000 as part of a £1m plus funding package in conjunction with the Bank of Scotland. |
