Milmega designs, manufactures and distributes solid state high power microwave amplifier systems to a wide range of markets on an international scale. The systems are used in numerous hi-tech applications within the communications, defence, electronic warfare, counter-espionage, medical instrumentation and high-energy physics sectors.
The senior management team, led by Managing Director Pat Moore, were keen to put together a management buy-out of the business as part of a number of non-core disposals from AIM listed Elektron plc. Their appointed corporate finance advisors invited SEGF at an early stage to work with them and management to enable a suitable deal to be put in place. We were immediately impressed with both the management team and the fundamentals of the business and were able to indicate our support for the transaction within a matter of days.
SEGF invested £250,000 in support of the buy-out and appointed a non-executive director to the board. |
