Appligenics Limited takes a novel approach to the development of web-based applications, including major systems. It can reduce costs and development time by as much as 80%, by effectively automating the generation of new code. The product builds upon the principles of world-class manufacturing technology and has the potential to take the software design industry another step on from CASE tools.
Having used the products to develop bespoke applications for early customers, Appligenics sought funding to support its plans to grow its salesforce and development resource with the aim of becoming a leading vendor of a new breed of development software. SEGF invested an initial £250,000 and made a follow-on investment of £250,000 in January 2004 as part of an ongoing business development plan. |
